Position Summary

 

This position is charged with acquisition, preparation, playout and monitoring of public television content that enriches and entertains viewers across Wisconsin. Based at ECB’s headquarters in Madison and operating under limited supervision of the Operations Center Manager, this position will progress from basic to complex skill proficiency in all three functional areas of operations tasks: Master Control, Media Prep and Transmission Control. The incumbent will participate in training, process development, and refinement exercises as required. The incumbent will serve as a consultant to internal and cross-departmental clients.

Salary Information

 

This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 06-14. The pay rate for this position will be $25.22 per hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan at the time of hire. A 12-month probation period may be required. 

Job Details

 

Due to the nature of the position, ECB will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. ECB does not sponsor work visas. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.

The work schedule for this position is four 10-hour days. The likely schedule will be three weekdays from 1:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. and one weekend day from 12:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. The final schedule will be discussed upon job offer. 

Qualifications

 

Qualified applicants will have each of the following:

  • Experience tightly adhering to a schedule and/or extreme attention to detail.
  • Experience working with interactive software operations.
  • Education or experience operating electronic systems and media (e.g., video production, TV or radio broadcasting, scoreboard operations, theatre or club A/V)
  • Experience clearly and professionally communicating and resolving issues with personnel across various departments and job functions.
